In my experience, the best times to go "cold" is when you feel it would be beneficial to limit the communication. I asked him why he was going to let her know about me...he said that it was because he didn't want to have it "blow up" in his face. I became a little offended by the fact that he was going to let her know since the breakup has already taken place, therefore there should "zero ties" to the relationship. I'm frustrated because I feel like i can't get over this issue. It would have been better if he'd just told me to begin with or could just tell me now, so we could deal with it and get over it. But instead it's this thing hanging over my head. And like I said, things are really different now. He does not spend weekends (or really any other time) with other women alone, and neither of us is pursuing relationships with other people. So, do I let it go because it was a long time ago and that period of our relationship was kind of messy and we were not monogamous?
