It's possible to get an email address through other means than it being public on here. For example most people use the same username on many different forums so google the username. Other forums or sites might have her email public. There's other tricks and tools than google but I won't go into too much detail, suffice to say that seemingly innocent remarks and phrases and information can add up enough to find various information about a person and even track them down to a street address. Yes, I totally understand the idea of “lying by omission”, and I do basically agree that he has a right to know everything at some point. But I don’t think I’m really being dishonest or lying because he hasn’t asked for more details. However, I have been completely honest with him about everything he’s asked. He’s only asked me if I’m physically attracted to Matt, if we’ve ever had sex, and if we ever dated, and I told him ‘no’ each time, which is the absolute truth.
